Happy Birthday Evie and Fun Playing Outside

We went to Evie's 2nd birthday party this weekend ... it was fun and obvious that she felt very special. I told Graham that I hoped he enjoyed it since he will not be getting a 2nd birthday party of his own :) I'm not sure who is enjoying this amazing weather lately more ... Graham or me? we are spending TONS of time outside and loving every minute of it. I've decided that Graham is going to have continual skinned knees this spring and summer ... maybe I should invest in some knee pads!! Graham's half-birthday was last Thur. and we took him to Maggie Moo's after dinner, but he didn't really like the ice cream. Maybe it was too cold. Hey, I'm not complaining ... I'd rather him continue to love his fruits and veggies anyway. I've definitely felt better this week and went to my doctor last Fri. and heard both heartbeats. One was noticeably faster than the other ... maybe one's a girl and one's a boy!!

Smoothie King

I am very into smoothies lately, and Graham has learned to love my new passion as well. He gets so excited when we go into Smoothie King and loves the noise of the blender. I used to just give him a few sips, but now it's "more" and "please" over and over. So now, I put the cup in his seat and push the straw up high enough so he can drink it all the way home ... then when we're home, I tell him it's Mommy's. My boy sure loves to eat and drink and would do it all day long if I let him.

Look Closely

No, my friends, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is TWO babies you see in my ultrasound picture!! Graham is going to be a big brother and he's not only getting one sibling, he's getting 2. I find myself still having a hard time saying it, but we're having TWINS!!! It was definitely the shock of my life (and I'm sure Kevin's when I had to tell him on the phone since he was out of town). We are absolutely thrilled, especially about the long-term. I'm not going to lie, the short-term freaks me out!! My life is going to be completely insane with 3 kids under the age of 2 :) But I keep reminding myself that with twins, it's double the love!! I'm due Sept. 16 (which ironically is my grandfather's (who is a twin) birthday), so I am almost 13 weeks along. I hope and pray for a smooth pregnancy and healthy babies. I'll keep you posted!!

Fun with Friends

Two of my college roomates, Robin and Katherine, and their kiddos came to Nashville for a visit. We hadn't seen each other in a while, and it was so fun to be together. We had a blast, and I hope we can do it again soon!!

Play Date

We had a fun play date today at our house!! I made a pot of soup and some rice krispie treats and us, moms, really enjoyed letting the littles run around and esp. the adult conversation. God has blessed me with some great friendships here with other stay-at-home moms to enjoy this journey of raising kids together.

Evie came over to spend last night with Graham. For those of you who don't know, Evie is my niece and is just shy of being 6 months older than Graham. These two are a funny pair!! Evie is very into her personal space and Graham doesn't even know the meaning of those words. He follows her around like a puppy and tries to kiss her lots ... all of which are denied. I must say, though, that I think we're turning a corner and they are finally bonding. Graham calls her "Abba" and had a smile plastered on his face the whole time she was here. It was really fun having them entertain each other this morning!! Jackson and Margie, we'll keep "Abba" anytime :)
