Happy Half Birthday

Luke and Carter are officially 2 1/2 today!! We all celebrated after dinner by eating a half of a cupcake :) Graham knows that he will be 4 1/2 soon, and after the cupcakes he asked if we could celebrate his half birthday, too!! Life with two 2-year-olds is a bit interesting ... i could definitely do without a double dose of the tantrums, but one of my favorite things about 2 year olds is what comes out of their mouths and with having twins, it's so fun to listen in on their conversations with each other. Yesterday, Luke and I went into get Carter up from his nap and Luke bent down low and got in Carter's face and said, "Hey Baby, take a good nap?" As much as they exhaust me, I just love that they are still so stinking cute!!!

TN Aquarium

We took a day trip to Chattanooga to check out the TN Aquarium. Our dear friends, Stephanie and Hart Knight, invited a crew and everyone had a blast. We saw lots of fish, stingrays, sharks, and most excitedly penguins!! After a good lunch of mexican food and exhausting the boys we anticipated an easy ride home with naps all around .... BUT not only did we get to visit the aquarium in Chattanooga, we also got to visit the ER in Chattanooga. Carter fell on the stroller and bit through his bottom lip ... poor baby. Got him all fixed up and finally made it home about 3 hours later than expected. A very fun and exhausting day ... pretty much sums up my life these days :) Boys, boys, boys ... well, my crazy boys, anyway!!

Obsessed Much

Carter has become OBSESSED with Woody from Toy Story. He is almost never without his Woody hat and Woody dolls. About 10 days ago, I started napping Luke and Carter in separate rooms and to appease Carter by not having Luke in the room with him, I told him he could sleep with Woody (I normally don't allow toys in their room because it tends to cause fighting and sometimes even injury) ... worked wonders!!! When he has to put them down to eat or bathe, he tends to freak out if he thinks someone else is going to get them ... a frequent phrase is, "No Lukey get 'em" He is such a funny little boy!!!

THEY ARE A MESS!!!!!! That is pretty much all I can say about Luke and Carter. I smelled something stinky coming from their room so I decided to go in and change Luke's diaper, and this is how I found them. So much for nap time today. What am I going to do with these little rascals? Gotta love 'em :)

Roll Tide

Kevin and I got a real treat to go down to New Orleans on Monday to watch Alabama win the BCS Championship game. The trip was definitely short but sweet ... and oh so sweet when Bama won!!
