A Whole 'Nother Hand

My baby is a whole 'nother hand!!!!!!  He has to use TWO hands to tell me how old he is now ... how did that happen so fast?!?!  We decided to spend the day celebrating Graham's favorites :)  When he first woke, he got to play on the iPad, then he got a bowl of Frosted Flakes and then on to M&M pancakes.  School was serving his favorite lunch (grilled cheese), then after school we went to Sweet CeCe's.  We topped off the day with a visit to Sky High (a trampoline place) for some dodgeball.  What a fun day we had as a family celebrating our biggest boy!!  There is rarely a dull moment around here with Graham ... I frequently hear from him, "What can we do now, Mommy?"  While his energetic, inquisitive, and VERY active little self wears me out, it's probably my favorite thing about him ... it always has been.  And as he continues to be my child that keeps me most on my knees, I am so grateful that he (more than anyone else on the planet) shows me how much I MUST depend on Jesus.  What a gift!!!  Throughout my heartache and turmoil and lows of motherhood, I have learned that God doesn't want it any other way, so why should I?  And don't get me started on how much I've learned since having Graham about how much I need to love better :)  Ok, ok, this post is supposed to be about Graham, not me!!  I can't wait to continue to watch Graham grow and learn more about the world and still be my little buddy for as long as he'll stand it.  If it's not obvious enough, I'll spell it out ... I love this kid more than life itself and would do anything (well, within reason) for him.  Happy 6th Birthday my precious son!!

Another Triple Birthday Party!!!

Last year we threw the boys a triple birthday party and it was such a success that we decided to do it again this year.  We had great weather, yummy cake, tons of fun, and really appreciated our family and friends coming out to celebrate our boys ... hard to believe they're 4 and almost 6!!

I'm afraid it might not ever be this easy or good again ...

... but right now ALL 3 boys are playing on the same baseball team!!!!  Do you realize what that means?  ONE practice per week, ONE game per week, and ONE Mommy that simply gets to sit back and watch and enjoy.  And while it may only be this one 8 week season that we'll ever have like this, I'm going to soak up every second of it :)  We had our first game this morning, and it was adorable, of course ... here's to a great season!!

Our team - seriously, could they be any cuter?

Happy 4th Birthday Luke & Carter!!!!

Seriously, where does the time go?  How have my babies turned 4 years old?  My sister-in-law just had a baby earlier this week and went home from the hospital on the Friday of labor day weekend, which made me very reminiscent of L&C's birth because I had them on a Tuesday and left the hospital on the Fri. of labor day weekend - I really can remember it all like it was yesterday.  Those two precious little lives had just come into the world, and all they wanted to do was snuggle up right next to each other and sleep.  Fast forward 4 years and take away the snuggling and sleeping, but all they want to do is be side by side whatever it is they're doing - running around outside, playing card/board games, reading books, dressing up, playing with action figures, playing "beef" (I have no idea what this game is but it involves a lot of chasing), and LOTS of laughing.  With the amount of time they spend together (which is pretty much 24/7), I am amazed at how well they get along - they have their moments here and there, but their bond is unlike anything I've witnessed.  It truly is something special, and I feel so blessed that God has let me be a part of it - I guess He figured it was a little trade-off for the craziness of having twins :)  I pray so fervently that their bond will continue to strengthen, that they will always enjoy one another's company, that they will have each others' backs, and that they will want good for each other.  Every day I am so thankful that they have each other, and while I often feel like an outsider, I am overjoyed to watch what they have continue to grow and grow.  Luke and Carter, know that your Mommy loves you like crazy and wants nothing more in life than for you to love Jesus and love like Jesus.  You two are mighty special!!!!!!

I tried to let them have a "sleepover" with Graham but it only lasted about an hour.  I should have known from Carter's face in the picture that it wasn't going to work out :)
