Kevin and I got to go to Chicago this past weekend with our dear friends Kyle and Courtney ... Kyle ran the marathon yesterday and did awesome!! Kevin's parents came to town on Friday afternoon and we got to celebrate Kevin's birthday before we headed out Sat. a.m. Our weather could not have been more perfect and our trip went off without a hitch. We did a lot of eating, shopping, and just hanging out. It was a really low-key trip with great friends!! Thanks to Pops and Gigi and also Shannon and Margie for helping out with our boys ... we feel blessed to have family that is willing and - even better happy - to keep our boys ... they all had a blast with everyone :)

Sounds like a great Chicago trip. Can't imagine running a marathon myself, but I'm glad one of y'all can for me. Glad y'all got away like that. Thinking of the Geshke's and Allen's,
