Wonderful Weekend

I just had a pretty great weekend, and I hate to admit that it's mostly because Graham was out of town. My amazing brother and sister-in-law took Graham to Memphis and they all stayed with my parents to give Kevin and me one last relaxing weekend ... the calm before the storm!! We got to go out to dinner with friends, sleep in, be lazy, go to a movie, get stuff ready for the babies (the carseats are all in my car now ... I'm triple wide) and I got a pedicure and Kev played golf twice. Even though the break was nice, I was excited to pick up my boy and we had a fun afternoon playing. I just told Kevin that my contractions have picked up significantly since Graham has been back :) Maybe he'll put me into labor before Friday, but I'm not holding my breath. It's pretty surreal that in one week, we'll be bringing home 2 little babies!! 5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!

Final Countdown

We are officially on the final countdown ... my induction is scheduled for next Friday, Sept. 4, which will put me at 38 1/2 weeks. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty disappointed that it is still so far away, but I'm not going to go into that because I'm trying my best to stay positive. Graham truly has been such a joy lately, and I'm trying to figure out how to deal with my emotions as losing him as my only child. For almost 2 years, it's just been the 2 of us everyday and now we're about to add 2 more. Oh, how I pray that he will adjust well and still feel attention and love from me. Well, I wish that my next post would be baby news, but I've still got plenty of time to post more about my big baby, Graham.
Kevin and I got into "nesting" mode and cleaned a lot this weekend ... Graham helped, too

Feeding the ducks

I'm not sure who ate more bread ... the ducks or Graham?!?!

Baby Update

I had an ultrasound and doctor appointment this morning as I am now 36 weeks along in this twin pregnancy. Baby A measured 6 lbs. 7 oz. and Baby B measured 6 lbs. 4 oz ... yes, I have over 12.5 lbs. of baby in my belly right now :) They are both head down and look great!!! I am 2 cm. dilated, so my dr. feels good about inducing me at 38 weeks if I don't go into labor before then ... which will be sometime the week of Aug. 31. I do have a feeling that I'm going to make it 2 more weeks, so hopefully I'll have more good days than bad ones and that I can keep up with Graham until then. I know it's because the end is so near, but it's all beginning to feel very real. Can't wait to post pics of my precious little babies all snuggled up together!!!

Ready for 3 kids?!?!?!

I am going to have 3 kids VERY soon (we're down to 3 weeks or less), and I'm not so sure what I really think about that. I guess all I can really say is IT IS WHAT IT IS. Jackson brought Jake and Evie over Sat. morning to play with Kevin and Graham, and we were all in the den for most of the time. We got them to help clean up toys in there before they left and all looked great ... until I checked out the playroom. I couldn't help but smile and think that this is going to be a common occurrence when I have 3 small kiddos of my very own :)

Fun Family Weekend

We had a really fun family weekend!!!! We spent pretty much the entire weekend together doing fun stuff, and we all had a blast. We started out on Friday night having the Allens over for Satco and we sat out on the patio and let all the kids play. On a side note, July in Nashville had only 2 days in the 90s ... God is SO good :) On Sat. morning we met the McFarlands at the zoo. We always end up playing more than actually looking at animals, but Graham has fun and that's what really matters. On Sat. afternoon we went over to Jackson's house to cook out and swim ... their house construction is finished, and looks great, by the way!! We went to church on Sunday morning and then to the Nashville Sounds baseball game in the afternoon with the Judys. I guess it's good that we're getting out doing a lot of stuff because I have a feeling that we'll spend a lot more time at home soon. I can't quite get my head around the fact that our life is about to change so drastically and that we have such a short time left of being a family of 3. I say it's hard to remember life without Graham, and I'm sure in another couple of years, I'll be saying I can't remember life when it was only Graham. No dr. appt this week but starting next week (week 35) I'll be going weekly ... definitely on the home stretch :)
On the carousel at the zoo

"Golf clubs, Daddy" ... I hear this all day long :)

At the sounds game ... Graham sure does love his Daddy!!
